I know in college it's about people on the course and if they pass, no idea on schools but it seems such an odd idea to let one come in to boost attendance only to pass it to loads more who may then be ill.
Either way, I've pointed out she really is very ill with it and is not returning to school till she's well enough (and in my opinion, testing negative).

There are still some of us out here, who haven't had it and dont want to get it, as it would make us seriously ill...

I just can't get over the school/college attitude, when there are still government radio adds telling us to get our latest booster/flu/pneumonia jab, and constant reminders by text from Dr's....yet the school seem to want to spread it amongst students, for them then to take home to parents & grand parents.

What happened to protecting the NHS?

.minime felt incredibly sick in her first few days, while my friends husband was visiting the loo in a different way when he had it (me tonight), fingers crossed its not covid.
Oh no. I've had a sore throat , feeling sick and dizzy all night (blamed sons driving last night when he picked me up after his frantic search for his passport ,to keep around here for safety during his halloween party, needed my methodical search skills, but maybe not travel sickness after all.....) Tests at the moment coming up negative.

Minime tested negative at 10am last Wednesday, by 2pm when she did a 2nd test, it was posative. I spent an hour dying her hair in-between those 2 times and thankfully I'm still negative.

Our new patients don't have to isolate for 5 days anymore. They're free to come out of their rooms and mingle. We used to ask them to stay in their rooms upon admission, not ow. And those with Covid, although advised to isolate, they can come out as long as they wear a mask.
I don't mind admitting, I'm absolutely terrified of catching it again, it certainly knocked the wind out of my sails, never felt so ill before.

Me to, the carer & I have never had it, and I'm pretty sure if I caught it id end up back in hospital like with last years drama of the chest infection & kidney failure.

The whole time minimes had it, the carer & I have tested daily , and I've worn a mask at work.....I can't believe the education system allowing them back to school without a mask while posative.

I had such a moan about my workplace now counting covid sickness against our sick record, and saying we would get disciplinary if we had time off, I'm way over my percentage as are other people . But they've been lenient and not disciplined anyone.....but those of us that have been off have been genuinely ill. Seems my work place treats us much better than this country's education system.

If they get rid of you all, there's no staff left to run the place!

Back in January 2020 I fell really, really ill with something so much so the nurse/drs signed me off work for 2 weeks and a strong dose of antibiotics. that was my unofficial Covid (I got disciplined at work for 2nd trigger I work for the NHS) 2 years on I finally got the official version of Covid and although I was still quite poorly it was nothing compared the "something" hopefully you will be the same (husband who is vulnerable tested positive 5 days after me and was only mildly grotty)

I work for the NHS too, 33yrs and counting. Had my supervision other night, got told that if I go off sick again within the next 6 months, I will trigger Stage 1.
It int fair, they never used to count Covid sickness against you, I don't see what the difference is now?

I isolated, partly because I could and partly because I didnt want anyone to go through what I went through. I fully appreciate that it affects people in different ways, I was however knocked for six. Now I am short of breath and some foods taste different, thankfully at this point that is the worst of it.

We were both ill with similar back in very early February 2020, and spending a night in an Italian airport the week before may have been the culprit. Back then of course we didn't know about it.
