Had the flu jab a couple of weeks ago, I qualify for it on three different grounds but only get one jab. No after effects.

Had the pneumonia shot 3 years ago, no after effects on that one. After the doctor saying I should have one it took the surgery 3 weeks to wade through my notes to make sure I hadn't had one before as you can only have it once - son who has a permanent health problem gets them every two or three years.

Flu hurts a lot.

I'm not convinced that any vaccination could hurt more.

I also agree that meeting people is on the whole to be avoided.

Thinking about it, and delving into ancient history, it hurt quite a lot the first time I had it, was sore the next two or three times and since then hasn't caused any problems.

You seem to have been unnaturally afflicted by influenza outbreaks.

I've only had it once in quite a lot of years.

I'd happily pay not to have it again, but i'm quite lazy, so will probably wait until it is too late.

In fact, apart from my brief fling with peritonitis, which was thankfully mostly masked by massive drug use, flu was the most painful thing i've ever experienced.

I did once break a bone, and that was quite bad, but flu was pretty monstrous.

I've only ever had the flu once , never again . Was the worst I've ever felt , I even had to skip work , and I have never done that. I had my tonsils out and was back at work the following morning

I have just parted with a fiver in Asda, in exchange for immortality*.

An easy process, you just spend five minutes with a chap whose pleasantness will be unlikely to be exceeded that day, whilst he jumps through computer hoops and then jabs you in the arm. His jabbing skills, based on my survey of one event, are of the very highest - I wasn't really sure that it was over.

* at one point he started typing in an Expiry Date, but this was for the vaccine batch, rather than an assessment of me..

I've had proper full blown flu twice in my life and felt like I was dying. It really annoys me when people say they have the flu when they have a cold, clearly never had 'real' flu. I also had swine flu when it was doing the rounds and it was so awful I wished I was dead! I can't have the flu jab, allergic to it :(

Yes I've had real flu too and it is not nice. ,heavy arms and legs whole body aching ,banging head ache, Can't bear the light ,cough cough cough, difficulty breathing. You just can't get out of bed.
The people who attend work and they say they are flued up make me angry. My retort always is" No you haven't got flu because if you had you would not be standing there".

I have survived the first 24 hour post treatment period unscathed.

If I fail to report further, it may mean that I have been scathed.
