Hunting with dogs and “Sport”, and following the rules
Dear Theo
I’ve just seen your supportive tweet about the Conservatives wanting to stop Hare Coursing
Well, as an animal lover (and loads of Stafford people are too…), I really agree with that noble desire. But (hey call me cynical). Please assure us that this policy is not motivated by country squires not getting paid for unlicensed “sporting” people using their land, so if so, then kick on with this desire.
Anyway, talking about umm, “Sport”… I’ve just seen a video about the wife of Jacob Rees-Moggs (to whom you are related) on a hunt, with her children.
Hey, do you know what, call me stupid, but I thought that fox-hunting was against the law, but it seems that the hunts (and Jacob, your relative) have found a way around the law to call it scent-following. So... you’ll maybe understand my confusion on this….
Simple question I think – us common people of Stafford (we vote, remember), we’d really like to know your views on wild animal hunting, being that you are related to Jacob Rees-Mogg, who is a hunt supporter, and your seemingly contradictory tweet about banning hare-coursing.
I think we all know you’d not support the one-rule-for-them and one-for-us-elite, which reminds me of another question… A friend of mine followed the rules and wasn’t allowed to attend her niece’s funeral last year, on the same day that the prime minister held a wine and cheese party (according to the photos)
Our glorious leader Mr Boris is holding a series of press conferences and telling us to get boosted and take tests – but try as I might, I can’t seem to get hold of any LFT test kits! I know we spent 37 million Billion with Baroness Dido, but gawd, what did us poor taxpayers get for that.
I know we should do as they say, but it would really be nice if Mr Johnson, Mr Hancock and the cabinet did as well….
Hoping you can clear-up these confusions…
