Crooked Bridge Road babb.
What I have to carefully navigate past , to avoid disappearing down a crater, to get to my driveway....... Going to have to fork out for it ourselves eventually if the others won't chip in their share. Once the wicked witch has gone from her private rental we might get somewhere (Apparently the judge was ill when her landlord took her to court to get her out before xmas , so case being delayed )!

Next weeks dentist check up just been cancelled at short notice. Yay!!! No problems as I know of , so don't mind a bit of a delay .

And hope I've not been too optimistic clearling all my 'finger doing things' away now , after almost 8 weeks. I've just done it for the final time before todays hospital appt. I'll cry if this cast doesn't come off for good today!

Wow.

The landlord is the one that has to pay though so it shouldn't matter who the tenant is.

.Seems I was a bit too optimistic going to hospital appointment 8 weeks after fall. Got finger cast for over another 4 weeks at least😭

Going to pub in town for meal to cheer me up.

Told no lifting more than a cuppa etc as well. Will have to ask for my pint in 2 half glasses!

Fun thing that, in certain circumstances you can just withhold rent to pay for repairs if your landlord doesn’t sort it

Not sure if you’d be able to get away with the drive, but if you lose a tyre (or an axel) your landlord will soon find out how fun it can be to leave that like it is

That being said, don’t expect a tenancy renewal if you try.

We own our house.

The other 2 own theirs as well .

But 4th house, the wicked witch is renting from her landlord. Don't think he dares approach her while he's trying to get her out.

( she's the one who's air b&b guest parked right on my lawn overnight soon after we moved in , then gave me aggro for us telling him not to the next morning as he was driving off).
Can't you & the other 3 *neighbours all just buy a few of bags of gravel each... I think they're only about £7.00 each bag? Fill the holes up so at least there's not so much of a bunch of holes? (Or better still a half tonne, looking at it again, I think we paid about £50 last summer for a half tonne when we extended our 'drive').

I know it's not 'YOUR' problem, but I'd rather do that than risk my **tyres/rims......

** I need to get another couple of bags for our drive, as I've made some nice depressions in it.... 🙄

Hubby said well buy some gravel ourselves. But got to wait for water to go first..

Trouble is though , all the delivery drivers from other road , and people from other road, using it to turn round will soon churn loose gravel up again.

Apparently one neighbour suggested a few years ago getting gates on the entrance so that just the 4 houses could access, but wicked witch house objected.

Wicked witch rents, her opinion doesn't count! See if the landlord will agree & make it a clause in the lease/ just official

Also you don't need to wait for the water to go, just fill it in?

Not you , with all your broken things, get hubby to get his finger out.

£4-20 a bag at Wickes for 20mm gravel. Just chuck it in the hole & it’ll displace the water then drive over it a few times to compact it.
