I’ve finally got the back to school stuff organised, I really can’t believe the price of stuff. Both girls are moving up to new schools so it was completely new uniforms needed.
But….. both already have football boots and shin pads so there’s a saving of £50 easily. Youngest has a good pair of trainers for PE and we were given a blazer, we’ve also Facebook scrounged a couple of school branded rugby tops and youngest already has a good school coat. Easily another £100 saved.
Somehow after adding it all up I’ve spent £481 and I do actualy still need to get eldest a winter coat. Bags from Amazon, basics from Asda, shoes from M&S, stationery from the works and sports stuff from sports direct. I’ve not gone mad with expensive gear and designer labels, somehow this is just what stuff costs????
I laughed at the woman from the school shop because I thought she was joking when she told me the price, three ties, two black skirts, three Pe T-shirt’s and a blazer……..£168
Im grateful that it’s an annoyance and I’m not sacrificing food/bills to cover it but I really feel for those that are struggling.
The schools should be ashamed, a pair of black leggings and a plain white polo should suffice but no they demand this and that, eldest daughter even has to have branded skirts now at three time the price of ASDA.
