250,000th poster!
I went to Tesco today, I am pretty sure they are no longer limiting numbers. Awful.
Strange, as I heard Tesco were making people queue today to enter.

It was a horribly busy day at my place of work today, it's usually my weekend off but I was called in as there's a lot of staff off at the moment, it was the busiest day for well over a year, maybe since Christmas 2019.

I didn't queue and there was no one on the door at about 4.15. The checkouts were really busy, and it was full of people who don't give a toss how close they get to others.

First time i've seen a queue outside the Co-op @ Wildwood since about this time last year.

Mother's Day innit?

Still, to suggest that this lockdown has been anything like the first one would be plain wrong.

After one hell of a windy week I finally managed to get into the garden this morning and check out the aerials. They're all still there, but I noticed this lanyard on the transmitting aerial. The lanyard is about 2 years old, and by the looks of it is going to pay off shortly. I'll need to get some spare in, maybe two lots because I should know better than not to carry a spare reel.
It's a nice day here, but the wind is still fresh north-westerly and not at all warm.

WELL!!!! I feel like Victor Mildrew ! WOULD YOU BELIEVE IT !!!

Amazon van parked at the top of the driveway as I was waiting for my printer.
Stood waiting to open the door. He went down neighbours driveway , knocked and put what looked like a printer inside her hall as she answered the door . I shouted him and asked if that should have come to me...
"Oh god yes! I've taken it to the wrong house".
He went and knocked and got it back off her.
Neighbour "I didn't look at the name , just assumed it was mine"

Surely she should have known she wasn't expecting a bloody great big printer

Had she shown tendencies of being either thick or dishonest in the past?

Took another 2.5 feet off the top of our cherry tree, ladders were in use elsewhere so had to do some climbing. It's still a little over three Trumpets tall so about 20 foot but will be a bit more manageable going forward.
Took out a 12 foot length of Laurel which was a) looking untidy and b) overhanging the lawn and stopping it growing. Did the last hour of root digging in the rain but seemed a shame to leave the job part done.

That reminds me of waiting in for BT to install a new 'phone.
It was installed next door and so another appointment had to be made.
