You're probably right but what options have we got. Most of UKIP's appeal is to 'sod the lot of them' to the establishment parties and when commentators say ' Vote UKIP and get Labour' the response is to shrug the shoulders and say so what, as I can't tell much difference and wonder whether we are getting Labour-Lite or Tory-Lite whoevers in power. You're right about all these things. But UKIP can't be the answer as their policies are merely headlines and contain no substantive solutions to any of these problems.
We know what they claim they WON'T do, but what WILL they do?
It's all irrelevant anyway as whoever does get into power will be wooed by the shiny limos and 'free' lunches and do sod all to help any of us.
You draw a large penis on the ballot paper, and hope they don't mistake it for a Tory vote.
I used to think innuendo was an Italian suppository!
He has been shot six times and done fourteen years in a military prison - they might not be keen on the entry requirements..
I think you might have missed the c/o Private Eye bit at the bottom. You're right Withnail, people are mad who support UKIP
Mad that the coalition haven't cut the deficit and we are still borrowing over £100 billion a year to balance the books.
Mad that between them the Lib dems, Labour and the Tories have added over £1 TRILLION to the national debt
Mad that the government is allowing net immigration when we already have a housing shortage and our public services are creaking.
Mad that the government is importing foreign labour and then wondering why over 1 million under 25's can't find work
Mad that successive governments send our troops into costly wars at the same time cutting back on defence spending
Mad that politicians have handed over so much policy and law making powers to Brussels and Strasbourg
Points taken, I just took the opportunity to stir the pot a bit as political discussion on here has been quiet on here even considering we have had the conference season.I think you might have missed the c/o Private Eye bit at the bottom.
Whatever truth there may be in the above, i think we can all agree that it isn't quite as funny.
Posturing, posing and public willy-waving.the conference season.
Which brings us back to the original point...You can get arrested for that
Are you sure? Humans in general are of a herding nature (park a single car on a empty car park and see how many other cars park around it) and if people are to rub shoulders with each other they understand a set of morals, rules etc is needed for peaceful co existence.Humans, en masse, cannot sustain action for the common good, therefore all politics are self serving

It also a prime example of wasting huge amounts of money on a project that will serve only a relatively small number of people, boost the profits of companies that are already very wealthy and disrupt the countryside and the lives of many. The HS2 project is a prime example of that with a fast modern rail track cutting journey times and adding capacity at the price of cutting a swathe through hundreds of miles of countryside and affecting the lives of thousands of people.
You're right. Some one, some where else on this site last week made the point that the HS2 demonstrators who were in town probulary voted Tory and had themselves to blame. Well if we had ended up with a Labour government last time round they would have carried on with the project that they had laid down.It also a prime example of wasting huge amounts of money on a project that will serve only a relatively small number of people, boost the profits of companies that are already very wealthy and disrupt the countryside and the lives of many.
Upgrading east and west coast main lines will achieve more for many at a relative fraction of the cost.
But then this kind of extravagant wastefulness and disregard for what people really want typifies politicians of all colours, so your example is a good one.
Its often cheaper to fly between cities than use the train, will HS2 be cheaper?
