Before i expend any more time digging around in the sludge...

Does anyone happen to know what happens to existing planning consent granted to a company that is liquidated? Does whoever subsequently picks up the assets/liabilities of a bust company inherit the planning consent, or do they have to reapply?

As I understand it, if property with planning consent is sold then the consent passes to the purchaser, they only have to reapply if they wish to vary the terms of the consent.

Wasn't bad today - it depends on -
    a) which way the wind bloweth
    b) whether the 'oomska' is being poked, prodded or otherwise shovelled

Light wind + no Sunday activity = stenchlessness

Sorry to re-hash an old thread but this still bears no resemblance to a Golf Course in the slightest.

Is it simply never happening? As men still appear to me moving earth from one place to another

Last I heard was that they are still likely 18 months away, mainly due to the fact they now have to remove a lot of material they were previously allowed to add.

Personally I think someone else will end up finishing it... But I'll hold my counsel for now.

As the land fill was supposed to pay for the course, one assumes there is a bank account currently in existence full of money from the last 7 years waste disposal? And, if there's not, it is highly unlikely that Luddingtons or anyone else will have the money to invest in building the course. As members I think the best outcome we can hope for is that the course just stays open as a 9 hole affair (and there'd be nothing wrong with that!).
Could be wrong, but lets face it, if the intention was to build a course, it would presently be being built....wouldn't it??

Pretty sure they couldn't build on it without getting access from elsewhere, and there is a 99 year (probably 90 now) lease on it.

I don't know, but this is what I wrote back in March 2009
still wouldn't surprise me especially with the new road being given the go ahead and developers being expected to stump up the cash for said road. The access always looked more like an entry to a large executive housing estate.
