Sorry if anyone has already posted this, but apparently Coton Fields is to soon be getting a new Indian Takeaway by Propect Road chippy.

Just thought I'd share this incase anyone local wanted to know.

I'm quite looking forward to it and hope the food is good.

The Dalit Freedom Network is organising an authentic Kashmiri Buffet Dinner at Ashiana on Monday, the 12th of March. Fifteen quid - bring your own alcohol.

Good nosh for a good cause.

Further details may be had by ringing Alex or Linda Morgan on 01785 241 230.

The local DFN group also organised the recent, and very successful, comedy night in Rising Brook.

This is very true Dinkidi. Yes, on the 26th March, all you can eat menu for only £13.95 at Malabar. Abu from Malabar kindly holds this for us every year and it is extremely popular. He has even had to roll it over 3 nights before to cope with bookings. Great evening, great food and great cause. We urge you to book early to get the slot you would ideally want on 01785 227500

Do I recall some controversy from last time's "all you can eat" not actually being all you can eat... or did I dream it?
No, it seems that you probably didn't dream it - http://www.staffordforum.com/viewtopic.php?id=5534

Still, let's see what happens..

In fairness, that wasn't entirely Malabar's fault (other than a poor choice of person to do their marketing); hence that thread being closed. As you can see from this thread, there are many positive reviews of Malabar. :)

It is an 'all you can eat menu' so tuck in and enjoy a range of dishes from the menu. The quality of the food is always praised and many people await this night each year as they enjoy it so much, hence its popularity.

Apologies, didn't mean to bring a negative tone to the thread, honestly couldn't recall....

Anyway I can happily say Malabar is my favourite Indian in Stafford, always excellent food and service when I have been in there.

Also Katherine House is an excellent charity too, so put the two together and its sure to be an excellent event.

No worries; just wanted to clear up any confusion. Thank you for the nice comments about the Hospice.

Just back from an exclusive international business conference in Stafford Balti - top notch nosh, as always. I meant to ask Abdul if he had any specialist knowledge of the goings on at the Coach and Horses, but I got distracted - sorry..

Just a bump for this worthy event - you've still got time for the last few tickets.

Took Mrs Trumpet and daughter to London House in Eccy last night. Warm welcome, warm restaurant and really good food. Mixed biriani in particular was brilliant, loads of meat.
Recommended.
Not Stafford but hey, I know of at least three Stafford couples that come here on a semi-regular basis.

Spice Island. Always good food and its bring your own. For my sins I have tried practically all the curry houses in Stafford and I won't go anywhere else now. Yummmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!

One and only visit to Stafford Balti. Five of us and possibly the worst curry ever. Stale tasting chicken and my choice came with pasta swirls. Insipid, recycled junk! Five people who will never return. Was it a bad night or is the better stuff only served to regulars?
