Listening to others sleeping is really cruel. I've stopped trying to fight insomnia and have decided to read and watch utter rubbish until I'm bored to sleep. If that fails I stick on the washing machine and hope to enforce my pain on others!

Went back to bed and watched the clock til 6.30am, then must have dozed off......7am wake up call , dragged myself downstairs to open my birthday presents and intending to go back to bed once hubby left for work as surely I would be able to sleep now with being so tired..... no sign of sleep again:rolleyes:

I suffer from this.

I've recently become a grandfather and my daughter plays "womb music" to her daughter to calm her, it's on my to do list the next time I can't sleep.

Had insomnia now for 14 years. Sometimes up at 3 or 4, consider a good nights sleep to be anything close to 5.

I've just tried sleeping and a million ideas started racing around my head - had to get up and put them down on paper - perhaps i might be able to sleep now. Why is it that as soon as you get into bed you think of things that you want to do.

I've just designed a letter head and and invoice and a quote template in my head.

Had another idea now about giving follow up gardening advice to our customers.on how to get rid of weed in paving slabs
  • Pour salt on the weeds
  • Boil water in the kettle and pour it over the weeds
  • Mix vinegar, salt and washing up liquid mix together ensure it is mixed thoroughly then spray on the cracks in the pavers
I might start a gardening blog now if i knew what a blog was and how to start one ................... i wish i could sleep

I wish you could sleep too

I wish we all could

Have you ever lived in a different time zone? Did your body agree more readily with the reasonably expected times of sleep?

You/we maybe in the 'wrong' continent

Salt is no good for any plants surrounding the patio.

I had nightmares. That combined with sleeping with one-eye-open due to husbands sleepwalking/night terrors is not good. However, thoughts - birds & light have failed to wake me for a while......touch wood...fingers crossed....morning Mr Magpie.

I tried this tonight and thought I might suffocate. It's really hard to breath in for such a short time after breathing out for so long!
Sorry, not really my problem, trying to fall asleep - I struggle to stay awake..

having another long night with insomnia - don't know why - my health is getting better and i'm going to the gym in the day but sleep seems to be eluding me at night - might have something to do with waking up at midday due to insomnia the night before. I need to switch my body clock around from day to night or night to day
