The M6 bridge on the A51 is due to be closed for three days in January.

I'm not sure now what the sign said, but I think it was the 12th and the 15&16th.
These roadworks have been going on for a ridiculous amount of time, it is almost a year since they started. Although the traffic lights have been removed about a month and a half ago, concrete barriers, a narrowed road, poor road markings and a 30mph speed limit remain. Not that anyone obeys the 30mph limit as nothing is going on - certainly no men at work, despite MASSIVE men at work signs erected along the A51 for those who have trouble seeing them. They have shut the bridge several times since the traffic lights were removed - but I can't see what has changed each time. They better get rid of all signs of roadworks when it is shut this week.

I think this was the bridge that closed the M6 because the underside was falling onto the motorway and as a result they put a weight restriction on the bridge. May be wrong but that's what i understand.

I drive over it most months and I don't recall ever seeing a weight restriction amongst the forest of signs - that doesn't mean that there wasn't one, of course.

I don't think it was signposted but that was why it was single line traffic. Again I may be wrong, memory isn't what it was :)

On one occasion when I went over it, it was single lane whilst the concrete under the other lane was being given a few days to set.

Corporation Street / Sandon Road traffic lights are out - vast improvement.

Browning Street lights were out, but back on the the interminable sequence now.

Both probably due to the slight power cut earlier, I presume.

Some alarms still going off....

Signs going up at the Corporation st / Goal rd junction, road closed for 5 days to do gas main work, so no left turn out of Prospect rd.

Do you mean this one? There is no Gaol Road/Corporation Street junction, Corp St meets Prospect, Crooked Bridge and Sandon road, but not Gaol.

I wonder how long it’ll be before The Hough’s parking lines are completely incomprehensible. Parts have already worn away completely.

Maybe the proprietors of the space will see fit to sort it when they start getting claims due to ruined tires.

As of last night Corporation Street was blocked off from just by Crooked bridge road. suspect it will be the case today as well as it had a fairly substantial hole. I went for a run last night and it cheered me no end seeing the people having to turn round at the very end.

Stone Road/ A34 closed northbound at the Bristol Street Island (@Gramaisc to remind me of correct name). No real *warning signs till you get onto the island & traffic being diverted up Eccleshall Rd.

*In December last year there was a sign saying Stone Rd would be closed for 3 weeks from 2/1/2018 for gas works....it didnt happen at the time, but presume thats whats happening now....

Jesus. 3 weeks? Inconsiderate wank*rs have turned my quiet residential road into a motorway. Not only are huge numbers cutting through down here but they seem to think the speed limit is 70 :(. Twats :(
