Many years back when I worked in Roy Townsends (now cash convertors) a young lady walking past pushing her screaming child in his pram promptly stopped, went to face him shouted at him for what he'd done and ended with....

"whos a little b**tard then?"

I doubt she realised the irony of that statement as she then looked up and saw my self and a friend open mouthed at what just emanated from her chav'tastic mouth. Just before we burst out laughing.....ahhh those were the days....

..a chap in W H Smith's ask for a card for a niece-in-law.

The widespread belief that we have more than sufficient card shops may be erroneous, it seems.

Overhead a young woman having a telephone conversation outside tesco's earlier, she was telling somebody about her unusual menstrual discharges.

I was most glad to plug my phone in and turn my music on......

.. a 'journalist' repeatedly pronouncing 'Dornier' as though these German aircraft were French. Again.

As I pointed out the last time that I complained to the BBC about it, things might have been slightly different if that was the case.

That some teachers are on strike next Tuesday . Some of sons 6th form lessons are cancelled and the Year 7 class that he helps to teach won't be taking place as he says '"We are on strike"

If they haven't got enough teachers in the whole school will be shut for the day.

Yup I've had 3 letters so far. 1 confirming that spawn3's school will be closed, 1 informing me spawn2's school might be closed and one saying spawn4's class is still in. Waiting to hear from spawn1's P.R.U as she's not in till tomorrow.

Were there strikes today? I went into Stone at half eight this morning and the Lichfield Road area was quite clear - it's normally almost impassable with cars abandoned by "mums from School"..

We're all in this together!

So screw the teachers and the firemen, pretty sure plod is coming but not until they have the measure of the initial cuts. Can't have unrest with unhappy cops, that way a coup does lie. Of course MPs are still on a 1/40 final salary scheme, with salaries set to rise 10k when they bring in the average rules instead to compensate for their loss. This 10k rise equates to a pay rise, as their average salary will only be based on the new scale. No other public servant gets this, apart from judges IIRC?

So good luck with your own kids next week, if you think they are a hindrance just think how the teacher feels with 30 of them. If you were a teacher, how would you protest? Or a nurse, or a fireman.....

I'm all for the strikes, this governments are a bunch of dangerous wankers with barely a brain between them and most of those are just plain stupid and or dangerous! They can't keep screwing everyone over like this so bravo the teachers and firemen who are standing up and going OI! NO!
My only complaint is that not all the spawn are off so I have to persuade 1 to go whilst the others don't. Strike for a week and the gov might actually blink, a day and they just note it down so they can get revenge later.
Go, teachers and Firemen!
