The carer has just started cooking tea, we're having Black & Blue burgers, chips & coleslaw.

I've not had a Black & Blue burger for years, last time was from the catering van on Hixon Airfield, hope this one's as nice.

I am actually cooking today as well .... which isn't something I do regularly as it's women's work ... (NUCLEAR BUNKER ALERT !!)

Cheese Onion and Potato pie !

It's a wartime rationing recipe my Old Dear used to do and I remember my Old Man and me would almost come to blows over the shares we'd mark out on the cooking bowl. Mine isn't as good, (as I remember, this was decades ago) but the cheese is already grated so the hardest part is doing battle with the onion.

And even I can't f*** up boiling some spuds. :gonk:

It's a big bowl so it'll last 2 or 3 days. (I had to consult the Internet to find out what Regulo 6 meant in temperature. )

Takeaway from Narvana, when they open..... Starving Marvin.

(Chicken Pathia, Chilli & Garlic chicken, Korma, keema rice, keema naan & poppadoms, I managed to snaffle most of the raita & onions).

I had a hotcross bun (not toasted) buttered & with sliced mature cheddar for lunch, scrummy. Love hot cross buns.

No cooking tonight.

It’s spinach and ricotta cannelloni with a big salad.
I’d made a double batch of the cannelloni the other week and frozen half.
So it’s been defrosting this afternoon and will just be reheated in the microwave later.

Sainsbury's used to, perhaps still do, sell hot cross buns without the yellow colouring They were termed White Hot Cross Buns on the packet, but it was printed in the form -

White Hot
Cross Buns

I took a packet to the Customer Service desk and asked if they had any red hot ones, as I'd burnt my tongue on the last ones of these that I'd bought.

Not a flicker...

Marks & Spencer now make a Marmite & Cheese hotcross bun.... Heaven in a bun, I've not tried them yet, but may have to make a special trip.
