Cock take away, just had three huge faggots, mash, mushy peas and onion gravy. Bostin'.
Food heaven! I've not had a good hand made faggot for ages, last time was a pub in Haughton about 3 years ago, I can't remember it's name, it's the one opposite the Shropshire Inn .

The Bird serve nice faggots as well. I think Terry had them on his takeaway/delivery menu if they're still doing food.

If not they get theirs from Hindle's butchers.

Thanks @Thehooperman & @proactive, 2 recconendations, so I'll give Hindles a try, not sure what the rest of the family will eat though.... They don't like faggots, or black pudding... I do though! :xd:

They are good but quite large and when I had the two faggot meal in the Bird I couldn't finish it.

Luckily I did have a little furry helper on hand and Bee can recommend Hindle's faggots as well :)

Beef Bourguignon pie and a baked spud.

Spud zapped in the microwave, to get it hot through, then finished in the oven with the pie.

The pies are made locally, specifically for this branch of the supermarket chain. I bought a pair last week and was massively impressed. Proper winter food.

The first of this pair has maintained the standard - this may become a weekly ritual.
