Well-Known Forumite
At Burton Manor the other day, none of the three staff on the counter could apparently cope with a parcel collection. Then had to wait while they called someone over the tannoy. Some minutes later, a not very bright assistant appeared and fetched the parcel. He then refused to hand over the parel because of a "computer sez no" situation with collection code. After leaving and telephoning Collect+ we sorted a code to go back with and he handed the parcel over. I was all for taking the parcel from the counter first time round, since you can't steal your own property... The only amusement came some days later when an email arrived saying the parcel "had not been collected" so Collect+ would be returning it to the retailer. Bet that was interesting when the Co-op couldn't produce the parcel when the courier went to collect it for a return....They've always been great at the one on the stone road, guess I'm lucky!
On the other hand, Thoroughgoods (or however it is spelt) next to The Royal Oak are fine with parcels.
