Having just returned from deepest darkest wales (AKA Beruit II) I was amazed to see the cider choice in Morrisons. There were at least a dozen different bottled varieties from the likes of Thatchers, Westons and a few local Welsh ones, plus the usual Magners/Bulmers/Strongbow rubbish. Is this the same in our Morrisons? Made Stafford supermarkets look remarkably **** to be honest! Actually the food range reinforced this too!

Whilst waiting for my chicken and sparrow guts* pie in the PandA House just now, I perused the CAMRA magazine and discovered that, not only is the Swan at Whiston back in action, but that it is CAMRA Pub of the Year and, separately, CAMRA Cider Pub of the Year. Usually sevenish real ciders on offer, apparently, but they do sell out often and it might be as well to ring up before cycling all the way out there with a bad knee.
