All vaxxed up. Was amazed how fast it was to be honest, I was in and out in five minutes! Arm hurt like a mother immediately after but seem to be alright at the minute, slightly woozy head.

Sooo, today I had a missed call from this number.... 0300 561 0204.


Said it was the coronavirus vaccination team & that they would call back.... I thought it was a scam, but searching the number shows its real. Has anyone had a call from them? Any info? I can only think that maybe I should have had a 3rd vaccination before my booster as after my illness in the summer I'm now classed as 'properly' vulnerable....


Any info would be great, ta.

I've seen an awful lot of people responding to the news that Omicron has a lower hospitalisation rate than Delta with "eeeeeyyyy, Christmas is on!" without understanding that the fact it's lower is cancelled out by the high reproduction value, as far as the threat to the NHS goes. We may already be at a point where Delta hospitalisations will be equalled, given that Delta disguised the initial Omicron outbreak for a few weeks and if we reach a million infections then that's 200,000 in hospital.

It's not all doom and gloom of course, it seems likely this wave will be over sooner and the booster rollout will make a dent but that won't happen for a few weeks yet and so this weekend feels like a pivotal point.

Even worse, I've had people quoting an ONS publication at me to 'prove' the vaccine is more dangerous but refusing to read the pages in that same document that point out their stupidity because you can't trust our government it's all lies!

Well the obvious answer is that they'll have rebuilt the British Empire and made Britain great again isn't it?

We won't need to import anything or import anyone because everything will be made or grown in Britain and everyone will be fully employed because all of those nasty foreigners have left the country.

Hmmmm another phone call today, managed to answer it this time, turns out its not me thay want but 16yr old minime. She wasn't available and weirdly they wouldn't discuss anything with me even when I explained she's still a minor & I'm her parent.

Neighbours were due to have 19 round for Christmas dinner, but have both tested positive so have had to cancel. What a pisser for them and also their guests who may now have no Christmas dinner.

OHs Dad has a very nasty cold so I've forced him to do 3 tests in the last 12 hours. His mum, who works with the general public doesn't do tests as a matter of course. I despair (and am also even more unpopular as I can't keep my mouth shut)

It's amazing how many people I know who are isolating with covid this Christmas. Don't think I've known so many friends to be infected or a contact at once before in this pandemic.

Feels like even more of a covidy crimbo than last year, doesn't it?
