A few posts under my belt
I have not booked anything yet, want to see a bit of Eastern Europe though, maybe Poland, Latvia, Slovakia.

Found a lovely hotel in Torquay for our next 2024 holiday down here. Got shown around their bedrooms, pool, gym etc when we popped in today. If we hadn't got to get back for hospital on Friday I'd have booked the end of this week up , it was so nice!

Cardiologist advised to stay in UK til pacemaker & heart stuff all OK.BUT short-haul may be possible in future.( as long as we can find good insurance )

So going to look at somewhere different abroad to our usual Spanish & Portugal hols ready for when the time comes. 😎

We walked all the way to where the sea was....then nearly ran back as it was coming in so quickly! It surrounded us at one point.... Good day though, stopped at some nice places on the way, and can see/hear the sea from our home, just..... Only one dune away from the beach

Finished the week at Zipworld... I ducked out as there was an amount of climbing involved and I'd already taxed my knees in the deep mine experience & underground crazy golf earlier in the week, but the carer braved the mist.....

A few minutes before the first picture, you could see the whole mountains/hills.....it rolled in so quickly!

Sorry, we brought it back with us... We had lovely sunshine the whole time we were away!

Our 19th May Weymouth week has had to be moved to his next week off in June now , as his Pacemaker op has just come through for 17th , 2 days before we were due to go . Maybe the 4th booking will actually go ahead as planned .........................(first 2 hols in April shortened by hospital appts coming mid holiday as well)

Make sure the remote for his pacemaker has a Mute button on it.

It sends signals/ readings via a machine by the bed to the hospital. My mates hubby had one and sirens started going off inside his chest every 4 hrs the first night to warn settings / heart rhythm weren't right 😧😂.

I can see a few sleepless nights ahead. ( and a few hotels being evacuated thinking fire alarm going off🤣)

Heading up to Blairgowrie for the Superbikes at Knockhill this weekend.

Weather doesn't look great but we'll have a good time anyway especially as we're there when Scotland play two of their euro 2024 games.

The cottage owner messaged me last week to say don't worry if we see people in the garden. Apparently it will be the neighbours checking the hot tub water quality. Didn't even know we had one 🤣

Been glorious here in Weymouth Sunday onwards
( Saturday wasn't as bad as Worcester when we set off either. Just wish I hadnt slung even more extra coats, brollies etc in last minute as it was torrential rain packing the car.Haven't needed a coat at all)

Worked out well having to cancel original booking 4 wks earlier for hubby's pacemaker op. Couldn't have beaten this week's lovely weather !
