Let's put it this way - Don't think me and you'll be around see it finished. What year?
They cut down the trees? What is the matter with this imbeciles we have to suffer in local powerApart from cutting down a few of the trees,I can't see any difference from my weekly Stafford visit last week.
Definitely Stafford.I really hate to argue with you but...........
Climax Blues Band (originally known as The Climax Chicago Blues Band) is a British blues rock band. The band was formed in Stafford, England, in 1967 by vocalist and harmonica player Colin Cooper (1939–2008), guitarist and vocalist Pete Haycock (1951–2013), guitarist Derek Holt (b. 1949), bassist and keyboardist Richard Jones (b. 1949), drummer George Newsome (b. 1947), and keyboardist Arthur Wood (1929–2005)
Derek lived on Radford Rise, before he moved to Spain a few years ago. I delivered a few concert tickets to him. It was for Jan Akkerman at the Robin2. I bought a CD from the library and, some years later, noticed that Derek was credited on it. I got him to sign it for me in the Grapes one night - "In case you get hit by a bus and I can fling it on eBay straight away".Definitely Stafford.
I remember watching them practicing (well mostly listen outside) in a shed like building near to this house.

Where we used to go and play inside by climbing through a gap in the boarded up windows.
That must have been about the late 60's.
Coventry
I honestly thought they were, maybe I'm getting confused with the Climax / Coventry ClimaxThe link you shared says they formed in Stafford? Are you just trolling?
Altern-8 were both from Willenhall, you know ::nods sagely::
My old Singer Chamois Sport (nicknamed You Bastard) had a Coventry Climax derived engine. It didn't sound very melodic...I honestly thought they were, maybe I'm getting confused with the Climax / Coventry Climax

I wondered why those loos in Market Square were always full of postmenTHAT old?!
Did you know that post boxes are like icebergs
Nine tenths of the box is always underground so that there is room for the postal staff to sort the letters
