That's the one, it generally gets very good reviews. It's on the corner of County Road and was black and purple the last time that I noticed the colour scheme. I think it's where Al Sheikh's was...

Oh, and 'welcome' to roxy.

Hmm...that's exactly what I thought, so I donned my deerstalker, chugged on my pipe and googled the words 'Abdul's Stafford'. One of the first results is from a restaurant review site called sugarvine.com. I think you'll agree there's definitely something fishy going on here....take a look at the similarities in spelling/grammatical errors and general consistencies etc on most of the reviews, and in the posts made on here by 'roxy':

Abdul is a lovely man, always welcoming and always so charming. His staff are polite and courteous and we would never visit any other Indian Restaurant in Stafford.

These are the type of establishments that we should value and cherish.

Hi roxy, welcome to The Forum. :)

Without wanting to start a witchhunt, I notice that your real name happens to be exactly the same as the owner of Abdul's. One has to admit that is quite a co-incidence!

My post was in no way mocking your writing or level of education; I was merely highlighting the striking similarities between the writing styles of your posts and the reviews on sugarvine.com.

basil

In fairness to Abdul's the one time I tried it I thought it was pretty OK. But not as good as the REAL Abdul's, Stafford Balti.

well, that's the thing - abdul's has had a few good reports in this thread, so there was no need for him to pretend to be someone else and slag off the competition.. he should have just let the food do the talking, and he would have come out on top!

roxy, i hope you put this behind you and continue to visit and post on the forum.. we're quite a forgiving bunch ;)

I have just returned from an international business logistics review meeting in Stafford Balti and the usual level of perfection was attained, and surpassed. I may now have to go and lie down for a bit.

Incidentally, there was a significant police presence around the Picture House area, including a dog of the sniffing variety. I managed to cycle up Bridge Street without being accosted by them, though.
