That vegan thread.

Very disappointed with Vivere last night. No vegan options on the menu but they were happy to remove cheese when making our food. All for the same price as 'with cheese' of course :(

That's disappointing.

Last night i tried Zizzi - no room at the inn, took myself to Pizza Express instead where i had free dough balls and 30% off the bill.

It's rare now i go somewhere without knowing if they do vegan options, i just can't bear the glazed looks and disapproval vibes.

...that's all we're getting from ya?

Online the article is only available to subscribers, the article is five pages long and at the moment I don't have time to scan it & post the 5 images. Buy a copy or read it in the library or wait until I have time? It is very supportive of veganism and points also out the problems (mainly obtaining adequate levels of some minerals, vitamins & amino acids) and the hidden animal products; not just gelatin but also animal products in tattoo inks, make-up & other brushes, shampoos & conditionrs, soaps, silk, toothpaste, fabric softeners ...

Thanks.
The turning vegan thing isn't easy, OK a lot of it is but then again a lot of it isn't.
Stopping yourself eating animal products is easy, wearing animal products is easy enough.
It's not cheap but can only get cheaper, look at everything in life, pineapples were probably about £100 when they were shipped over here and well, you know what i mean.
Etc etc etc.

I'm safe in the knowledge i'm trying my damndest not having animals subject to savage cruelty for the sake of a snack, or whatever.
Knowledge is power, and there's no excuse not to have it, we're in the 2000's!

...now, to get my hands on that article.

Garlic bread
Zucca pizza with fried herby potatoes
Sticky Chocolate & Prailine Torte (which was that good it made me angry)

My favourite places to go (so far) in Stafford, for (dedicated) vegan options/menu;
Verso Lounge
Zizzi
The Swan
The Market Vaults (only one vegan burger so far)
The Bear Grill (choice of 3 but imo, only the Mexican burger worth considering)

My favourite places to go (so far) in Staffordshire, for (dedicated) vegan options/menu;
Brewhouse and Kitchen, Lichfield
Faro, Lichfield

Image!

How about this one? i've kept it thumbnail-y so click if you dare!
Low-res i know.

I had seen this image recently, i really had no idea this happened but then i never really thought about the hows and whys, during those times i was eating their little body parts.
It's obvious now, these animals in order to be manipulated by us have to be put in their place and stop them from attacking one another, this is what is happening here. Machines have been made for this process.

Look at their little faces, the ones you can see anyways!!

Anyone care to guess what is happening here?

Little further a field but well worth a visit:

Vegan options and their burger is a delight!!
If only you'd posted it yesterday morning, I might have been tempted. Instead we went to somewhere just down the road ("The Lounge") where I had something that may have qualified as vegan - a baked potato with baked beans. I refused the cheese topping and the butter though I'm afraid (slapped wrists) I had the coleslaw. (If I'd been going vegan, refusing the coleslaw wouldn't have been a problem as it's something I can take or leave. #EveryLittleHelps)

Gon2 juniors, the vegan, go to option, just as well he likes beans without the slaw! ;)

I never knew this.

If you don't have the special machine then it's done manually.

...OUCH!!
